The Mabinogion is the earliest prose literature of Britain. These tales include the Four Branches of the Mabinogi, native Welsh stories, and Arthurian romances passed down through medieval Welsh manuscripts.
In Welsh mythology, Annwn is the Otherworld, ruled by Arawn or Gwyn ap Nudd. It is a realm of eternal youth and abundance, home to the spectral Cŵn Annwn — the Hounds of Annwn that ride with the Wild Hunt.
The Tylwyth Teg, or "Fair Family", are the Welsh fairies. These beings inhabit lakes, rivers, and hills, and are known for their enchanting music, secret revels, and dangerous magical gifts.
